The file initial-data.xlsx contains the daily reposting activity of French and German Facebook groups between Jan 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019.

Sheet “1-init-data-Germany” contains initial data for Germany.
Sheet “3-init-data-France” contains initial data for France.
The data contained short gaps (90% of the gaps were between one and two days long), which were reconstructed using linear trends built over the previous five days. We chose not to reconstruct longer continuous gaps, as they did not impede the analysis of rather long series.
Sheet “2-recon-data-Germany” contains reconstructed data for Germany. Sheet “4-recon-data-France” contains reconstructed data for France.
